Big Weekend for Hayden!

Wow, we have two birthday parties to go to this weekend!

The first one is this afternoon it is a Princess and Pirate themed party! You guessed it, girls dress as princess' and boys as pirates! Hayden is pretty excited about this, especially since he really loves singing the birthday song!

Not 100% sure what he is going to wear, as Andy is taking him to the party....I will meet them once I get off of work. :) I left a few options for him to choose from, so I will add some photos to this posting later :)

Tomorrow is a party at our local http://www.partipalooza.com/ we have never been here so we are very excited! It is a huge place filled with jump houses, kareoke, bowling and more!

Sunday evening we are having our FIRST EVER slumber party! haydens two girlefriends from accross the street are staying over while their mom is out of town. Katie is 5 and Brianna is 9, so it should be easy as pie right? WE'LL SEE! Should I make them keep the door open? HAHA!

More pics and details to come :)
XOXO

Big Trouble....

Hayden and his friend Katie were in big trouble last Friday! While Ms. Shannon was in the shower, the kids got out the permanent markers and drew all over the walls, furniture and each other!
The girl is 5, Hayden is 2.....question is.....who started it?

NYE!

New Years eve was a total blast!

We held an around the world party with two of our neighbors!
So we started at my house "Mexico" as guests arrived we had mexican music playing, margaritas in the frozen concoction maker, and mexican hors d' oeuvres out for guests to enjoy! I wore my embroidered shirt from Mexico, and had lots of candles lite....of course we chose Mexico as it fits the theme and decor of our house!

After an hour at my house we headed a few doors down to "Italy"!

You guessed it, our neighbors had great snacks such as italian cheeses, olives, salami and meatballs in red sauce....drink of choice? WINE of course!

Lastly we headed to France where we enjoyed desserts and Champagne!
It was a total blast!

The last house--France, put together a scavenger hunt for all the kids and HAYDEN loved it! He was running all around the neighborhood with these kids and of course Andy and other parents! I love the picture of him...running through the door to the last clue! Once all the clues were found...the last clue led them to a goodie bag filled with things for each kid..and Haydens was even special for his age :)

*Mexico got the party started! There were numerous shots of tequila consumed in just 1 hour, many to ANDY....he did not make it till midnight! PLEASE TEASE HIM ABOUT THIS! You can see in his eyes he was never going to make it!

Office Christmas Dinner!

December 30th our office was able to get out for a night of dinner and fun!

We went to maria maria....a restaurant owned by Carlos Santana. The food was awfull, but we had a great time!

My boss decorated the table with a new year theme hence the masks!

Overall is was fun and FREE :)

Christmas Dinner and Party!

We hosted Christmas this year there were 16 of us in all! My dad (Don) and I made a HUGE prime rib that turned out amazing and all the other guests brought the other side dishes :)
Hayden was excited to have a "big party" at our house, but refused to keep his suit jacket and tie on! In fact eventually his dress shirt was switched out for one of his new prized baseball shirts.
This year we polled our guests on three things:
1. Prime Rib or Beef Wellington?..........Prime Rib won!
2. Formal attire or casual?.....................Formal won
3. Draw names for gift exchange?.........Yes.

It was nice to see everyone dressed nicely and it was extra nice (on the pocket book) to enjoy picking out just 1 gift for the lucky person that we drew from a hat at thanksgiving!

After a dog walk to take all dogs to the park, we chatted, ate, drank and chatted more! It was a very succesfull event!
I had to have two tables for everyone to fit, but had won a large centerpiece from a local flower shop....so with the purchase of a mini version of it we were set with decor! We also made a donation to a local battered womens shelter in all of our guests name, which in return we got large edible gingerbread cookies (personalized) and used them as placecards!

Christmas 2009!

What another great Christmas! My mom and dad (Don) came to town on the 24th to San Jose Airport...so we picked them up and went right over to my Aunt Marthas house for snacks and visiting!
We made it home by 10pm, and were in bed early...knowing that hayden would wake up early to see what Santa brought!

Hayden was very scared of sitting on Santa's lap!....but come Christmas morning he was in love with Santa! You see...santa brought Hayden the Sponge Bob bat and ball he wanted, as well as a nice oak art easel and a set of drums! He tells everyone that the bat came from "santa" :)

That AM we got up early and upon the Druba's arrival we opened gifts...and opened gifts and opened gifts...they were non stop....we all just really raked it in!
After a good 45 minutes of opening gifts we made breakfast and enjoyed a quick visit from Andy's uncle and Aunt from LA. :)
