Re-Connected!

So about a week or so ago I got a friends request on my Facebook.com page .. it was my long lost friend Marisol. I was ecstatic! no I take it back..I AM ecstatic!

Marisol and I became instant buddies in Taxco Mexico while I attended the Small UNAM hub out there....we were literally attached at the hip. Marisol is from Yucatan Mexico. She was a teacher in Taxco. We spent many nights dancing the night away in the huge discotheques in Mexico City, and plenty of time in the small local bars right in Taxco!

Well the condensed story is ..... I moved back to California...we stayed in touch for awhile, we lost communication and here we are 11 years later and she is now married and living in New York...and found me on Facebook!

I am thrilled, we have sent many emails, talked on the phone and recently I found some old photos of our group and mailed them to her!

I am going to start trying to get a date on the calender to go visit her! SO EXCITED!

update...I have put a work order in here at work to get my computer "fixed" as I can no longer upload photos...not like I should be uploading photos at work...but seriously people...I do take lunch breaks :)

So excited!

This year we decided to take a weekend and go to Monterey, CA instead of giving a BIG Christmas gift to each other (Andy and I)...well I finally booked the hotel!

I am super excited...we haven't been to Monterey since we got Married in October 2004! We plan on taking Hayden and going to the aquarium too!

So now the fun part of finding a great couple of restaurants...any ideas?

New president!

Today Obama was sworn in! It is great isnt it?! I am so excited to be able to say this happened in my lifetime!

My mom left yesterday :( Her visits are always gone in such a flash. We had a great time. From Napa and Livermore wine days to Half Moon Bay and San Francisco...we did get to do alot in her two weeks.

Of course saying good-bye is always hard, but this time we know we will see her again May 20-24th when we go to San Antonio, Texas for our friends wedding....yes my parents live in Dallas..but they are driving out to San Antonio to watch Hayden while we go to the wedding. This will be Andy's first time to San Antonio! I am really excited to see it, after all it has been almost 12 years since I have been.

I really want to post some pic's up, but my computer here at work is being weird with my cable to connect...so I have to spend some time figuring it all out....

Looking forward to see what our new president elect has in store.

Wow it is 2009. Can you believe it? I cant!
All is great here, although very cold...high's in the low fifties lately :( I hate this...I would never survive in a state that got snow!
My mom is in town visiting. We are planning a winetasting day Sunday here in Livermore and then a trip Monday to Napa. Yes we love our wine :)
